Sea Days
While we are crossing the Atlantic, the internet is very slow. Up loading pictures takes forever and just to get to my blog to enter anything, is a challenge. So I will post now and hope for the best.
The seas have been very choppy and lots of pitching and rolling. Not so bad but you must hold on to the railings. Several times we had dishes fall. Loud clangs. Bottles sliding all over the place. Our Butler put our bottles and glasses away. At dinner, they place the wine buckets on the floor. Makes for an interesting time. This lasted two full days. We are fine but it was interesting to say the least.
And of course, with all this ship movement, the pool is empty. So we have not been able to exercise like we like to. But we are using the stairs when possible. Not up to deck 11 but always down. And up and down to decks 5 and 4.
Trivia is fun. We have come in third twice. Problem is we second guess ourselves. Several times we have the correct answer but change it because one of the team members thinks they know. Oh well, we already have several t-shirts and bags. And I have won the daily quiz once so far.
Last night we had cocktails with Haney and Alice from Texas. We met them at the hotel in Miami. They are only going to Barcelona. And then we were joined by Janet and Rich from California for dinner. Dinner was good but service was a tad slow. But it worked out fine as we were right on time for the show.
We went to the show, John Barron, the Cruise Director. He sings and then tells some jokes along the way. He put on a good show. We both enjoyed it.
Needlepoint is fun but they now have it in the Observation Lounge and the lighting there is not the best. Working on my belt. Slow going.
The other night we did not go to the production show and watched Sully instead. Good movie.
