Sea Day #2
Today is Tuesday. We are sailing toward Bermuda. Arrival is at 8am tomorrow morning.
Yesterday afternoon I attended the first needlepoint gathering. Lots of ladies came in order to get a project to work on during the cruise. I sat with Phyllis and Lorraine. They are sisters-in-laws. One from Denver and the other from Lake Tahoe. Then down to trivia. So many people want to play trivia that they have moved it from the Observation Lounge to the Theater. I think there were about 140 persons playing. We came in third so got one point each. A start. We can only get better.
Dressed for dinner and met Noel and Tom in the Observation Lounge for a pre dinner cocktail. Then to Compass Rose for dinner. I continued to order the Canyon Ranch selection. Bob and Tom each had the lobster and it was way overcooked. Neither of them finished their dinner. Mine was lobster also but I did eat it all.
Bob and I did go to the show. It was the first production show and I wanted to see the new entertainment team. Regent has cancelled the contract they had with Jean Ann Dancers. These people are from NCL. We did not see any improvement in the act. Lots of loud music and a lot of jumping and moving around. We did stay for the entire show but probably our last one.
Today we have not been able to swim as they have emptied the pool. There is so much movement of the ship that they decided to empty the water instead of having it slosh all over the deck. So I am trying to use the stairs as much as my knee will allow.
Breakfast in La Veranda and then back to the suite to work on the crossword puzzles. We get two newspapers so we each do half of each puzzle. Then we went to the lecture which is done by a former LA County Prosecutor. Today's topic was "Unusual Suspects". Great topic but not such a great lecturer.
Lunch in Compass Rose. Since we were already on deck 4, why not. I had onion soup and a cheeseburger. No dessert. Now working on blog and then up to needlepoint and then trivia. Tonight dinner in Prime 7. This is the steak house. And it is also the block party. At 6pm you take a glass from your suite and stand in the hall and greet the Captain, General Manager, and Cruise Director as they run down all the hallways. A regent tradition.
